USER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This STAR SHIELD APP operated by Star Shield is a platform for you to purchase the Star Shield extended warranty plans in Singapore and by clicking the Accept button, you have agreed to the terms and conditions of the access and use of the services in this app.
1. Services.
1.1 The “Services” we provide or make available include (a) the Site as an online platform service that provides a platform for you to purchase Star shield Extended Warranty Plans known as (“Plan”) for any equipment including but not limited to Desktops, PC/Notebooks, Tablets, Mobile Phones, Printers, WiFi Router, IP Cameras, fitness trackers, LCD/LED Monitor, Headphone/Headset Bluetooth Speakers, Bluetooth earpieces, and all other electronic device and equipment purchased by you with the manufacturer’s warranty coverage, (b) the services provided by the App and software made available through the App and (c) all information, linked pages, features, data, text, images, photographs, graphics, music, sounds, video (including live streams), messages, tags, content, programming, software, application services (including, without limitation, any mobile application services) or other materials made available through the App or its related services (“Content”). Any new features added to or augmenting the Services are also subject to these Terms of Service. These Terms of Service govern you use of Services provided by Star Shield.
1.2 The contract of sale for the Plan is made directly between you and Star Shield. Star Shield however has the absolute right to reject your application for the purchase of the Plan without any reason.
1.3 Modifications to the Services. Star Shield shall have the right to change, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, without notice. If Star Shield makes a material change to the Services, Star Shield will inform you, provided that you have subscribed with Star Shield to be informed about such change.
1.4 Ads. You agree that Star Shield may serve Ads in connection with the Service.
2. Your Obligations.
2.1 Compliance.
You will use the Services in accordance with the Star Shield policy. Star Shield may make new applications, features, or functionality for the Services available from time to time, the use of which may be contingent upon your agreement to additional terms. In addition, Star Shield will make other Non-Star Shield Apps Products (beyond the Services) available to You in accordance with the Non-Star Shield Apps Product Terms and the applicable product-specific Star Shield terms of service.
2.2 PRIVACY
By using the Services or providing information in the App, You:
(i) consent to Star Shield’s collection, use, disclosure and/or processing of your Content, personal data and User Information data (“Data”) such as name, email address, phone number and third party login data, Network information such as IP address, Browser information such as cookies.
(ii) agree and acknowledge that the proprietary rights of your Data are jointly owned by you and Star Shield; and
(iii) shall not, whether directly or indirectly, disclose your Data to any third party, or otherwise allow any third party to access or use of the User Information, without Star Shield’s prior written consent.
(iv) consent that all facilities used to store and process your Data will adhere to reasonable security standards implemented at least industry standard systems and procedures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your Data, protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of your data, and protect against unauthorized access to or use of your Data.
2.3 Unauthorized Use. You will use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized use of the Services and to terminate any unauthorized use. You will promptly notify Star Shield of any unauthorized use of, or access to, the Services of which you become aware.
