App is slow or hanging

Check internet connect and download again. If still same issue persist, it could be due to weak wifi signal or phone issue.

Smart Phone version not compatible

Please inform Star Shield Mobile Type, Model and OS version. Huawei OS is not compatible to Google Play Store.

Customer cannot process the SSEW purchase via App as the phone keep hanging or cannot proceed to payment.

Please proceed to make payment via Store Point of Sales. Please take note that Star Shield ambassador referral fees may differ for Point of Sales.

Can Ambassador promote SSEW to their friends, family, and other contacts?

Yes, Ambassador can promote SSEW to their friends, family and other contacts and sell Star Shield Extended Warranty Plan.

What is the Ambassador Referral fee pay-out for sales made via APP and Point of Sales (Cashier)?

Referral Fee (Commission) Pay-out for sales made via App is 15% (less 7%GST) and Referral Fee (Commission) Pay-out for sales made via Point of Sales (Cashier) is 10%(less 7%GST).

Entered incorrect Partner/Branch and/or Ambassador code, how to amend?

Please remember to enter the correct Partner/Ambassador code. Please be informed that you cannot amend the code via App and will not be entitled for any referral fee for any incorrect entries.

How to change Ambassador profile/contact details?

You can update your contact details via App – “click account tab and update”.

What if Ambassador Referral Fees does not tally or posted incorrectly?

Please contact Star Shield Hotline: 6586 7788 or write to us, email: warranty-services@starshield.sg ,stating your Ambassador Code and details on the referral fee discrepancies.

Customer refuse to buy via App, what is the alternative?

Customer can purchase Star Shield Extended Warranty via point of sales (cashier) or Star Shield Website. Remember to indicate Ambassador/Partner code on the website to process your Referral fee.

Can Ambassador purchase Star Shield Extended Warranty via their account in the App?

They are unable to purchase through their Sales Ambassador account. Alternatively, they can create a Customer Account to purchase the Star Shield Extended Warranty.

Does customer get Value points/Rewards of partners membership/promo buying through App?

No. Currently there is no promotion or reward program available via App.

How to do a refund?

Customer must write in within 7 days for a full refund. Non refundable admin fee applied for any cancellation after 7 days. Lead time for refund process ranges between 14 to 21 days. Customer will be informed via email on their refund process.

Will there be CPF deducted from our Referral fee payout?

There will be no CPF deductions on the Referral fee payout. However all Sales Ambassadors will have to declare their referral fees as Other Income earned in the Annual Income Tax Assessment.

Can customer check their warranty in-apps if their warranty is purchase via POS?

Customer cannot use this feature yet, but we are looking into incorporating this feature for next phase of App development.

What if customer did not key in ambassador code, or do not want to key in ambassador code?

Referral fees are strictly paid on Ambassador code keyed in during the purchase. In the event that if the Ambassador Code/Partner code are not registered in the App, no referral fees will be paid.

What is the number for customer to call for any Star Shield Extended Warranty support or App support?

Call Star Shield Customer Service Hotline: 6586 7788. (Mon to Sat: 10am to 7pm, closed on Sun/PH).

Customer App Payment status reflecting as “Pending”, but the bank has already deducted the amount.

Referral Fees not reflected in the APP.

Will the App store or retain customer’s credit card details?

No, it is kept by the payment gateway (2C2P) that is strictly regulated by MAS guidelines.
